Cheder Yaldei Menachem learned from Avraham Avinu about the special mitzvah of hachnasat orchim, and got very busy being gracious hosts! Some classes practiced setting the table, while others prepared delicious food to serve. Most important was exploring what makes their guests feel welcome and then exercising those skills. The children enjoyed going into Avraham’s tent and washing their hands and feet just like in the parsha. The highlight of the day was actually inviting another class to join in the Shabbos party celebration. It provided an opportunity to solidify all they learned. When all was said and done, everyone thanked Hashem! CYM is truly following in the footsteps of Avraham and Sarah!
