In honor of last week’s Parshat Vayera, JEC students participated in a Lower School-wide inter-grade learning program focused on the mitzvah of hachnasat orchim. The older classes were paired with younger students and were welcomed into their classrooms for this special program. Morah Bienenfeld prepared learning packets, crafts and stories for the students to enjoy. The students were treated to yummy snacks together with their buddies. In an effort to increase our hachnasat orchim at home, Morah Yosefa created a mitzvah note for at-home use. The children are encouraged to perform this mitzvah at home and send back the mitzvah notes to share the nachas!
