The Yavneh Academy fifth graders have begun an in depth study of brachot on foods, through learning Mishna Brachot. The Gemara in Brachot mentions the concept of saying 100 brachot daily. Fifth graders were challenged to say 1,000 perfect brachot on food. This means that each bracha is said properly, with intention and ends with an amen! The students have reached the halfway point in the challenge and have said 500 brachot as of this week! Mazel tov to the fifth graders!
