(Courtesy of Keter Torah) This past Memorial weekend, Keter Torah Youth Department hosted a teen girls 3-on-3 basketball tournament at TABC. With seven teams in attendance (21 players ranging from grades eight-11), talent was robust and the competition fierce. For over two hours, the girls worked hard and played well together. Middle school girls from both Noam and Moriah participated. On the high school level, girls from both Frisch and SKA comprised the teams.
Eric Farbowitz, assistant event organizer, stated, “The only thing that was more apparent than the hustle, was the sportsmanship. No refs, and just as many arguments.”
The middle school winning team was the eighth grade team from Moriah including Zoey Levy, Olivia Solomon and Isabelle Nadritch. The high school winning team included Daphna Steinmetz (ninth grade SKA), Kayla Nussbaum and Samantha Pruzansky (both 10th grade Frisch). Winning teams received Amazon gift cards courtesy of the Keter Torah Youth Department. A fun afternoon was had by all!
