Zack Rosen Reopens Basketball Camp, ZRBC, After Two-Year COVID Hiatus

Since Zack Rosen was young, he has loved the game of basketball, not only for its exciting action and intense strategies, but for the off-court skills he learned along the way. Rosen has come back every summer since 2015 to share that experience with the North Jersey community at Zack Rosen’s Basketball Camp (ZRBC), located in Yeshivat Noam at 70 West Century Road in Paramus, New Jersey. With two indoor gyms and three outdoor courts, it is a great place to host the camp.

After having to shut down for two years because of COVID, Rosen is excited to get the program running again from August 22-25. His top priority is making sure every boy walks out with a good experience and the understanding of what it means to work hard for what you want. “Basketball is one of the easiest ways to expose a young man to the concept that if you work hard, you can build,” he explained.

ZRBC is for boys entering fifth through 12th grade. With Rabbi Gary Beitler, dean of students at Torah Academy of Bergen County at his side, Rosen and a few other coaches planned “a week of intense, high-level basketball training including skills-training, variations of live competition, and leagues,” Rosen said. While he may not live in New Jersey anymore, Rosen cares deeply about the community and is excited to instill his lifelong, strong work ethic to the boys through basketball, all while having fun. “Baruch Hashem I think the boys that did ZRBC [in the past] really enjoyed their experience. It’s a packed schedule and the boys get a lot out of it,” he said.

Rosen now spends his days in Israel learning in yeshiva, but he never fully retired from basketball and looks forward to sharing the skills he’s learned on and off the court with the campers of ZRBC. To register or learn more about ZRBC, email [email protected].
