Ma’ayanot ran two special programs this past week to help students better understand the current escalation of violence in Israel. In the first, Mrs. Shayna Goldberg, Yoetzet Halakha and former Ma’ayanot teacher who currently lives in Alon Shvut, skyped in to share with students and faculty how it feels to be in Israel at this turbulent time. In the second, Mr. Zeev Ben Shachar, Director of Israel Education at Jerusalem University, provided historical context for the current uptick in violence and highlighted tools and techniques for becoming better advocates for Israel.
