A new program for babies and toddlers at the Iris Berman Early Childhood Center of Suburban Torah Synagogue in Livingston will combine the best of Mommy & Me and the excellence of the preschool.

Called Babyccino, the class will feature music, movement and science—yes, science—lessons for the youngest set. Babyccino will be held on the first Tuesday of every month starting on November 3, and will be taught by educator Esty Grossbaum, who is also program director of Friendship Circle, Jr., in Livingston.

According to Rachelle Zomick, director of the Iris Berman Early Childhood Center, a science program with music and movement for the newborn to 2-year-old set dovetails with the overall educational curriculum that the Iris Berman Early Childhood Center seeks to impart.

“It is important to give even the youngest infants a strong foundation for growth through music, movement and sensory stimulation in order to best strengthen their curiosity, creativity and core strength,” Zomick said.

“This program encourages growth and exploration of the world using your child’s innate creativity to stretch body and mind,” she added. “Your child will develop cognitive, social and motor skills to promote learning at developmentally appropriate stages. This is a fantastic way to bond with your child, while you both make new friends.”
