In Kindergarten, the creation of and playing of the Bereishit Game is a fun and hands on way to understand and reinforce what was created each day of creation. Each child created their own “guess my day” game (similar to Guess Who) in which they made an artistic representation of each day, including Shabbat. The students were photographed, using props for each day of creation to make a game board. In order to guess their partner’s day, each student asked questions about what Hashem created, such as “Is this the day Hashem created fish?” They continued to ask questions until they successfully guessed the right day. The students took pride in their self-created games and in the knowledge they have gained all while having a fun and creative experience.
