Detective Sgt. Jimmy Teehan Talks Safety at Yavneh

In honor of Red Ribbon Week, Detective Sgt. Jimmy Teehan, Officer Ben Fox and Officer Jon Henderson represented the Paramus Police Department at Yavneh Academy. The officers discussed respecting ourselves as well as others. They educated the children about safety; school bus safety emphasizing the importance of buckling, “Stranger Danger,” medication guidelines, following rules, as well as the skill set to reunite with a lost caretaker in a public place. Detective Sgt. Teehan emphasized the necessity of learning parents’ phone numbers.

The Yavneh children were excited and receptive to the program. Yavneh Academy is grateful to the Paramus Police Department for working toward keeping its children safe.

On November 8, Yavneh Academy will conduct the Annual Benjamin Schwartz Memorial 5K Run/1Mile Walk. Visit http://www.practicehard.com/EventView.asp?eid=1230 to register.
