JFS MetroWest is delighted to announce a new treatment space in its Florham Park offices known as the JFS Family Support Center, made possible by generous gifts from Thelma and Richard Florin and Audrey and Norbert Gaelen, both of West Orange. Private therapy sessions, play therapy, family counseling as well as support groups are all taking place in this new facility. The Center provides a state-of-the-art venue for both JFS and Rachel Coalition clients to receive a full range of treatment services.
In keeping with the agency’s vision of providing a welcome and inclusive atmosphere for all members of the community, artwork for the Family Support Center was specially chosen from artist participants of the WAE Center, a program of Jewish Service for the Developmentally Disabled of West Orange. The WAE Center is a holistic, expressive arts learning center focusing on the abilities and desires of members regardless of their starting point. The artists whose works decorate the walls of the JFS Family Support Center include Kelly S., Marc H., Patty M, Angel M. and Jen S.
