Kushner embarks on its 2015-16 season, with a very young and inexperienced team, after graduating a half dozen seniors and several strong Wittenberg place winners. The team was also affected by several wrestlers moving out of the area. The young group has embraced the challenge and many are working hard to fill the shoes of their predecessors.

The season opened up with an away tri-meet against St. Joseph’s and DRS. Despite first match jitters and many young wrestlers stepping on the mat for the first time, the team managed to represent itself fairly well. Kushner toppled St. Joseph’s by a score of 63-15 and defeated DRS convincingly. There is much work ahead and the team is fully aware of the challenges that it faces. The jury is out on how this young squad will evolve as the season progresses. With hard work and determination, the team hopes to represent itself well.
