The Jewish Link and La Cucina Di Nava would like to recognize Eitan Rochwarger as this week’s Student Star of the Week. Eitan Rochwarger, a senior at MTA, is an exemplary student who has enjoyed a remarkable academic and extracurricular career during his tenure at MTA. A resident of Teaneck, Eitan has been involved in extracurricular opportunities both through MTA as well as through the broader Bergen County community.
This year Eitan has served on the staff of several MTA publications in editorial positions. As co-editor in chief of the Academy News, the school’s student newspaper, Eitan has led a team of student journalists who have chronicled the major events and stories at school. As head layout editor of Shema Koleinu, a weekly Torah publication, Eitan has utilized his skills to spread the Torah of MTA far beyond the walls of his yeshiva. He also serves as editor in chief of the MTA Yearbook, leading a group of his peers in crafting a lasting testament to the experiences of an excellent class over their years as talmidim at MTA.
When he is not writing or editing one of the many publications with which he is involved, Eitan lends his time to chesed and helping others. He was instrumental in coordinating a blood drive that took place earlier this year at MTA, putting in countless hours to ensure the efficient operation of this life-saving effort. Eitan is also a Shalom Task Force ambassador, a leadership position he has filled over the last two years, representing this critically important organization that provides a much-needed service to the community.
Eitan has spent his high school career developing his unique skills while also achieving academically at an incredibly high level. Throughout his time at MTA, Eitan has always looked for ways to provide assistance wherever needed. As a trusted volunteer for communal organizations and a renowned leader of student-led initiatives, Eitan has grown into a true leader of his class as well as his community.
