The Ben Porat Yosef community participated in an all-day literacy event on Sunday, December 6, at Barnes & Noble Bookstore. The assembled crowd of students, parents, grandparents, and friends heard BPY first- and second-grade poetry readings, and younger students listened to stories read by Morah Jessica. All students participated in a Chanukah-themed scavenger hunt, and the day of activities culminated in a Chanukah candle lighting ceremony presided over by Rosh HaYeshiva Rav Tomer Ronen, and a rousing chorus of Maoz Tzur.
