Adath Israel Hosts Youth Chocolate Seder

(Courtesy of Congregation Adath Israel of Elizabeth/Hillside) This past Sunday, the Congregation Adath Israel youth department hosted its annual Chocolate Seder for early childhood ages. Everyone arrived ready to join in for the anticipated chocolate fun!

The Seder focused on teaching the kids all about the Seder plate and so after the children colored their placemats, they got to set up their own Seder plates with all the “pesach classics”—Scooby snack shank bones, pudding and chocolate chip charoset, Dunkaroos karpas, black licorice maror and mini chocolate egg beitzas. The children were all smiles as they went through each part of the Seder, from drinking a Kadesh cup of chocolate milk to having a coco puff cereal and milk Shulchan Orech. One of the best parts of the Seder was a scavenger hunt that the kids did as a team in order to find the special afikoman treats.

Fun was had by all the children and even the parents, as everyone left the morning with chocolate-filled faces and bellies full of chocolate!
