This past Friday, the third grade students commemorated 100 days of school by working on a multiplication math puzzle that formed the number 100. Upon arriving at school, the students hung their puzzles up on the outside of their lockers. They also reflected on what they have enjoyed learning most since starting third grade and touched on the growth they have made. The students were also given a writing prompt in honor of the 100th day of school and were asked what they would do if they were given $100. Not all third graders kept to the true value of $100 and it was fun to see their imaginative and thoughtful ideas.
In addition, this past Monday, the celebration continued of the 100th day of school for the early childhood program. The kindergarten children embarked on a day filled with numbers and fun. From number scavenger hunts to creating beautiful 100 themed necklaces and hats the children had a blast celebrating their mathematical skills. Of course the day would not be complete without a 100th day trail mix and some fun 100 themed games and challenges.
