In what may just be a case of de΄ja` vu, the JEC JV Thunder once again took on the Shaare Torah Stars on a rainy weekday night, and, once again, the Thunder hockey team had an offensive outburst.
As in weeks past, the JV Thunder was paced by the first line tandem of sophomores Elisha Schmutter (4 goals) and Aryeh Marcus (3 goals). Having staked a significant lead after the first period, the JV Thunder continued their goal production with second and third period contributions from a second line that consisted of freshman Sammy Simcha (2 Goals), sophomore Shmuel Weinberger (3 goals) and sophomore all-star defenseman Netanel Krammer (2 goals).
Not to be lost in the offensive outburst was the solid goaltending provided by sophomore goaltender Sammy Friedman—who made his first career start—as well as the overall solid defensive game provided by sophomore defensemen Binyamin Babayof and Yitzy Hershkowitz; they were assisted by the freshmen tandem of Yair Cantor and Moshe Nasser.
