Sergeant Benjamin Anthony, founder of Our Soldiers Speak, spoke at TABC. Drawing on his experiences in the IDF, he very poignantly stressed the importance of defending Israel from its critics. The speech was in conjunction with the Israel Advocacy course that is required for all seniors. The course, which has been part of TABC’s curriculum for over a decade, strives to prepare its talmidim to present Israel’s perspective when discussing issues on college campuses or other venues where it may arise. The course exposes the students to a rigorous understanding of the historical development of the current reality, starting with the beginning of modern Zionism. TABC regards an in-depth knowledge of the history as a necessary prerequisite for empowering its students to discuss the issues appropriately.
