MTA talmidim had the unique opportunity to come to yeshiva for a night of inspiration and simcha. The evening began with Mincha followed by shiurim with MTA rebbeim, Megillah reading and an incredible break-fast. After taking a few minutes to recover from the fast, MTA talmidim enjoyed a chagiga in the MTA gym where they danced with friends and rebbeim while getting into the spirit of Purim. After the high school chagiga had concluded, MTA talmidim along with their rebbeim, made their way over to the Max Stern Athletic Center for the annual Yeshiva University Purim chagiga. The YU Purim chagiga is renowned for its lively atmosphere and MTA talmidim are privileged to participate.
While the music and dancing are enough of a draw, the opportunity to celebrate Purim with the roshei yeshiva of YU makes this opportunity particularly special. The celebration did not end after the chagigas had concluded. On Purim day, talmidim visited their rebbeim delivering mishloach manot and sharing in the simcha of Purim with their rebbeim. On Shushan Purim there was a shiur vs. shiur costume contest with Rabbi Gopin’s shiur coming in first place. Thursday saw another installment of mishmar madness with incredible shiurim and the mini roller hockey tournament playoffs. What a week it was!
