The children in N3 have started their winter unit. The terrific threes are learning about how animals prepare for the winter. They took turns acting out a brown bear finger play about five little bears sleeping in a cave. Since it is very difficult for the bears to find enough food to eat during the winter, they cuddle up in a cave or in a hollowed out tree to sleep. Before they go to sleep, the bears eat a lot of food. They are not true hibernators so they could be woken if disturbed.
