(Courtesy of the Congregation Adath Israel Youth Department) The Pre-Pesach entertainment continued at Congregation Adath Israel with a Sunday full of events on April 2. Following the previous Sunday’s preschool Chocolate Seder, this time the shul’s first through fifth graders got together for a Game Show Sensation hosted by Mr. Billy Mann of Billy Mann Productions. The children enjoyed each other’s company, eating a pizza lunch, and each child had a turn to answer questions at the game show buzzer and win points for his/her team. All enjoyed the lightning speed trivia questions encompassed with Pesach trivia as well as silly general knowledge trivia too. There were even some bonus round challenges where the kids played “minute-to-win-it” style games to gain extra points for their team. The boys team, known as the Brainiacs, ultimately defeated the girls team, the Geniuses, by a close final score of 32-30, yet fun was truly had by all who attended.

Following the game show, the Middle School boys and girls were up next for some excitement, as they attended an ice cream chill and game night at the home of AI’s very own youth directors, Alyssa and Yoni Sheer. The middle schoolers made their own ice cream masterpieces, and participated in an inviting game of Family Feud. Teams of three on rotation took turns answering classic Family Feud questions, as well as some lively Pesach-related questions too. It was nice to see all ages come together throughout the day at these two special events, uniting for a common cause of pre-Pesach fun.
