This past week, Yavneh Academy celebrated its fifth annual Evening of the Arts celebration, sponsored by the Judah Marans Music and Arts Center. The artwork, under the direction of Malky Kazam, showcased Yavneh’s varied curriculum in grades one through six and transformed the hallway walls and atrium into a museum. The student work featured sculptures, paintings, drawings and collage. The evening included several “creation stations” where visitors were invited to partake in a glow in the dark drawing experience, collaborative murals and weavings, photo booth fun and an art scavenger hunt. During the musical portion of the evening, student soloists had an opportunity to showcase their talents. In addition, the audience was privileged to listen to selections from the Yavneh Junior Chorus and Concert Choir led by Marsha Motzen as well as the Yavneh 6th Rhythm Band, led by Rabbi Yehuda Segal.
