Idea School Student Wins First Place at CIJE Innovation Day

Idea School 10th grader Noam Forman-Vidaver won first place at CIJE Innovation Day in the category of Engineering for Entertainment and the Arts. His invention was an alarm clock that required a user to solve a Rubik’s cube in order to turn it off. Aryeh Laufer, head of STEM at The Idea School, said, “The innovation, the hard work and the creative ideas of the students are fantastic. All of the students have been working hard all year to bring their innovations to life using design thinking, empathy, engineering skills and creativity.” The road to CIJE was not without its obstacles; Noam shared that one of his greatest challenges was in facing the large amount of code his project needed in order to work.

Laufer added, “I’m thrilled that Noam’s work has been recognized on a day when there were over a 1000 students from across the Jewish world.”
