RKYHS and AIPAC Hold Joint Summit

It was an exhilarating morning on a recent Sunday at the first-ever AIPAC/RKYHS joint summit. RKYHS students, parents and community leaders gathered together to learn what it takes to effectively advocate for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship in this political climate. RKYHS was honored to be joined by Rep. Tom Kean Jr (NJ-7) who spoke about ensuring a strong alliance between the U.S. and Israel in Congress, and Rep Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) shared a message for attendees via video as well. RKYHS alumni Ben Waldman and Aviva Luxenberg spoke to attendees on a panel about being a pro-Israel activist on college campuses today.

The RKYHS AIPAC student group continues to forge its strong relationship with AIPAC and AIPAC on Campus to create the next generation of strong pro-Israel advocates. The group holds weekly meetings to continue and strengthen its education and advocacy efforts, often inviting outside speakers. A group of RKYHS students also recently attended the AIPAC Political Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. earlier this spring.

Rachel Roth, senior director at AIPAC commented that RKYHS “serves as a role model to other high schools across the country on what it takes to effectively advocate for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship in this political climate … The RKYHS AIPAC student group continues to lead the country in its commitment to build the next generation of strong pro-Israel political activists.”
