JKHA is so proud of its young entrepreneurs from fifth grade who have been working all year on the TREP$ Entrepreneurship Education program learning financial literacy and life skills as they build a business of their own creation. Students created their own original product, learned how to pitch a product, how to market a product, how to secure investors, measure revenue and expenses, design branding and more. They also incorporated the concept of tzedaka and how it relates to their entrepreneurship. They learned about advertising in their language arts classes along with school Educational Technologist Mrs. Rubin where they determined techniques advertisers use to sell products and messages of advertising, then utilized principles of design to create their own ads on Canva that were displayed all around school. Their products were sold last Wednesday night to a packed house in the Naomi Rosenfeld Kehila Center in the TREP$ Marketplace.
