West Orange to Celebrate Lag B’Omer With Outdoor Concert and Kumzitz

(Courtesy of Chabad of West Orange) The West Orange community will host a Lag B’Omer celebration on Monday, May 8, featuring a live concert that will open with the Route 18 band and be headlined by popular Jewish music singer and songwriter, Yaakov Chesed, known for his soulful performances and uplifting music. The concert will conclude with a kumzitz, and everyone is welcome to bring their instruments and play around a bonfire. The event will take place at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center, 4 Boland Drive, West Orange, and will include a delicious barbecue dinner.

“We are thrilled to be hosting this Lag B’Omer event at OSPAC for the second year in a row,” said Rabbi Mendy Kasowitz, director of Chabad of West Orange. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate this special holiday in a fun and meaningful way. We hope to see everyone there!”

The Lag B’Omer event is co-sponsored by Cong. AABJ&D, Chabad of West Orange and Cong. Ohr Torah, and is open to the entire community. Tickets can be purchased in advance at buytickets.at/congregationaabjd/904105. Suggested donation: $18/adult $10/child.
