The Religious School of Congregation Neve Shalom in Metuchen held an Israel Fair on Sunday, April 23. Nearly 75 students, parents, teachers, and guests attended the event designed to increase awareness and celebrate Israel’s 75th birthday. Despite the early morning rain showers, the sun came out in time to create picture-perfect weather to hold an outdoor event.

Exhibits and activities included building a mock-up of the Western Wall, several types of arts and crafts, face painting, jewelry making, pin the tail on the camel, falafel making, books and story time, and an extremely popular petting zoo with pony rides. Teachers and parents joined in to staff the activities that were enjoyed by children from the surrounding area.
