Second grade scientists at Tenafly Chabad Academy embarked on an exciting journey of exploration by selecting individual animals and delving into extensive research on their chosen creature’s unique habitat from books taken from the library. Through this immersive process, they gained in-depth knowledge about their animal’s dwelling place, its dietary preferences and fascinating characteristics. To demonstrate their newfound expertise, each child created an informative booklet about their animal and its habitat, life cycle and eating habits. They then brought their research to life by crafting a captivating diorama that intricately depicted their animal’s habitat. Finally, the budding scientists proudly exhibited their remarkable dioramas to their peers, fostering an interactive and enlightening learning experience where everyone had the opportunity to discover and appreciate their hard work.
