(BCFL) Last Sunday the boys of BCFL faced off in the first round of the playoffs. The weather was great as Bergen County’s best young flag football players competed in a single elimination playoff to be crowned BCFL spring 2023 champions. The story of the day was the 2/3 Falcons team that played spoiler, knocking off the Raiders and Bengals to advance to championship Sunday. In addition to the Raiders and Bengal we said “see you next season” to the 6/7/8 Giants, 6/7/8 Cowboys, 4/5 Texans, 4/5 Packers, 2/3 Broncos, 2/3 Jaguars, K/1 Seahawks, K/1 Chargers, K/1 Panthers and K/1 Jaguars. The league would like to thank the volunteer coaches for their hard work, the fans who have supported the boys every week and the boys of BCFL for always giving 100% effort on the field. In addition to a packed day of football, the BCFL co-commissioner delivered a donation of $400 to My Extended Family, an organization that provides programming for children from single parent homes. The donation represents the money collected from the onsite sale of BCFL swag. More swag will be sold on championship Sunday and once again all funds will be delivered to a local charity.
