The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced the names of finalists from across the country in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA) is proud to note that two of our students are among these finalists: Yishai Eisenberg and Tsahi Halyo. These academically talented high school seniors were chosen from among the 16,000 semifinalists that were announced last October. They now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,400 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered later on this year.
MTA is also proud to note that CJ Glicksman, Yair Gross, Aryeh Hagler and Michael Kolber were named as Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program. Although they will not continue in the 2016 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of the more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Mazal tov to all!
