We are enjoying a wide variety of new music as well as revivals of old favorites. The Thank you Hashem Nation has done it again: The “Baderech” music video (Moshe Auslander) is great fun, with special appearances by many of our family friends. Ari Hill’s “Aicha Bashuka” is terrific. We adore Shmuli Ungar and Baruch Levine’s dynamic duo collab “Zeh Hakatan.” Anything with kids will always catch our attention.
Yaakov Singer’s “Kol Haneshama” was great for Shavuos and beyond. Aryeh Kunstler’s “Pischu Li” adds a new take on an old favorite. “Different” by Motty Ilowitz reminds us that ultimately, we are more alike than different, and everyone feels more secure when their hands are held. The power of touch breaks barriers, as does love. It’s never too late.
Joseph Ades’ “I just want you to know” boasts a Hebrew/English mix filled with meaning. H” chose us for greatness: A song of empowerment. R. Shloime Taussig put out the upbeat “Shteigen.” As life-long students by choice, D.J. Al loves his daf yomi chabura as well as our daily learning together.
The new “Matana” album offers many voices and unique inspiration. Tali Yess released “Forgiveness,” reminding us now and ahead of the high holidays to take care of unfinished business and conflict repair. Eli Marcus’ song “Dugma” is a step-up song. Yoni Z’s “Hakol Letova” is a rocking song exuding acceptance. “I need a Rebbe” touched us deeply as Rebbe Glanz and Werntatty (featuring Yehudah Pinsker) speak the rap language of today’s youth.
In tribute to the heilige Dee family, Shimon Craimer’s “Kadosh kadosh kadosh” is something special. In tribute to Rabbi Wallerstein, check out Shulem Lemmer and Abie Rotenberg’s “Butterfly:” tissues recommended for both. May all of their holy neshamas have an aliyah.
Isaac & Rubenstein’s niggun “Better with you” encourages appreciation. Israeli music is a fave of mine; check out “Shvilim” by Itzik Dadia and Avi Ilson. Gad Elbaz shared his special wedding moments in “Keshoshana,” timely, as we approach our second wedding anniversary, gratefully better than ever.
“Yifei Nof” by Eli Levin is a meaningful winner all around. “Al Tipol,” starring veterans Avraham Fried, Haim Israel and Bentzi Stein is a fine collaboration offering a song of comfort.

Last but not least, the Celebrate Israel Parade in NYC was just marvelous. We were delighted to see Curtis Sliwa and The Guardian Angels, along with great musicians and all of the marchers safe and in sync.
