As first reported by Great Kosher Restaurant Foodies, New Amsterdam Burger Bar and Sushi Skooba will be moving from their current location at 680 Columbus Avenue about 10 blocks south to share space with MexiKosher at 100 West 83rd Street. In this shared space, the restaurants will work alongside each other with their separate menus.
Amsterdam Burger last offered its full-service menu at 680 Columbus on July 18. After the Nine Days, Sushi Skooba also moves to the 83rd Street location.
At the new location, a slightly smaller menu will be available. The menu prices at the new location will likely be reduced by approximately 10%.
This is the second kosher Upper West Side restaurant from which the community may see lower prices; Deli Kasbah recently announced that it was lowering its prices. (See The Jewish Link, “Upper West Side’s Kasbah Grill Lowers Prices,” July 13, 2023.)
