A cadre of Frisch math educators, led by Mrs. Sabrina Bernath, Chair of Frisch’s math department, attended the 30th Annual Conference at Rutgers University on, “Good Ideas in Teaching Precalculus and Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Discrete Mathematics, Probability and Statistics With Technology.”
Sponsored by the Rutgers University Department of Mathematics and DIMACS, the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science, the conference featured workshops and lectures—including Frisch’s own Mrs. Bernath—to help foster the professional development and classroom skills of high school and college teachers, mathematics chairs, supervisors and curriculum specialists.
Mrs. Bernath delivered a presentation, “Using Technology for Differentiated Instruction in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.”
“After my presentation, many department chairs and educators from other schools could not believe all the innovative math technology being used at Frisch,” said Mrs. Bernath. “ I explained that Frisch has an amazing administration that gives us the tools, resources, and support to be the best we can be. We strive to give each student the best math education possible.”
