(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp, under the auspices of Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn which serves the Jewish community of Bergen County, is under the leadership of Rabbi Mendel and Elky Zaltzman. Over 250 children enjoy a spectacular camp experience replete with trips, swimming, sports activities and creative art projects that focus on the Jewish holidays throughout the year cycle. The children are served nutritious hot lunches daily. The camp gives these children a special opportunity to learn and be connected to the golden chain of the Jewish heritage, granting them a summer full of sustenance physically and spiritually. Rabbi Zaltzman said, “Just look at the faces of the children and you’ll see how their faces glow with joy and with excitement, happy to be part of the Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp.”

Once during the summer season, Bergen County elected officials and Bris Avrohom board members are invited to see how their constituents are enjoying. The elected officials came last week Tuesday and presented a proclamation, proclaiming July 25, 2023, to be Bris Avrohom Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp Day in Bergen County.

(l-r) Assemblyman Gary Schaer, Assemblywoman Lisa Swain, Rebbetzin Shterney Kanelsky, Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky, Rabbi Mendel Zaltzman and Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco III gathered to celebrate the Bris Avrohom sponsored camp’s anniversary.
