Yeshivat He’Atid Third Graders Celebrate Mesibat Rashi

The Yeshivat He’Atid third grade students learned how to read Rashi letters along with his perushim within their Chumash lessons. To present their Rashi skills, they held a Mesibat Rashi. For the mesiba, the students were divided into four groups. Each group received a parsha that they have learned this year and a specific Rashi on the parsha. The group members had to think, plan and prepare an engaging and interactive project or activity that would exemplify the perushim. This project-based learning unit was a beautiful process from start to finish. The children collaborated and shared their ideas, planned their project and executed it with various materials. Parents attended the Mesibat Rashi and the children had the opportunity to present their projects to their families. Afterward, there was parent-child learning, followed by a Kahoot game. The families competed with one another by answering questions about Rashi’s life and the different perushim the students had presented during the mesiba.
