Camp Nesher week seven began with another amazing theatrical performance of “The Little Mermaid,” a musical directed by the incomparable Elana Obstfeld. On Monday, the camp celebrated the Yachad campers with a special edition color run which was immediately followed by 2023 color war breakout—Avot (blue) vs. Imahot (yellow) became the focus of the following three days. After all individual games, aquatics and track meets, lineups, baking competitions, videos, bucket brigade, Apache Relay, Brachot Bees, Instagram Wars, banners, dances and song scores were tallied, it was Team Avot that went into the history books as this year’s champs. With color war over and only a few days left until the end of camp, there was a deep sense of nostalgia and appreciation heading into the final Shabbat of the summer.
