This week, the Moriah Early Childhood children enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. The group listened to the story of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” written by Eric Carle. They made their own caterpillars out of pom poms and clothing pegs, as well as edible butterflies using celery for the body and pretzels as wings. The children were able to chronologize pictures the stages of metamorphosis.
