(BCFL) The skies cleared just in time and the Bergen County Girls Flag Football League got off to a rousing start for week one of their official regular season at Hackensack Middle School this past Sunday. There was some great action. In the 4-6 division the Buccaneers defeated the Browns and the Lions edged out the Dolphins. In the 1-3 division, a very exciting game unfolded as the Commanders and Packers went back and forth with the Commanders winning on a touchdown pass on the last play of the game. Everyone had fun—parents and players alike—and the consensus is that the league will continue to grow and offer opportunities for more and more girls to play flag football.
