Leading up to Tu B’Shevat, Yavneh fifth grade students put their knowledge of brachot to the test in a series of activities and competitions. This included a grade-wide bracha bee and a series of games. The top two students from each class in the bracha bee merited to compete in the ultimate bracha finale at Cedar Market. At Cedar Market, these fifth graders were given clues and tasked to find items throughout the store to earn points for their team. In between rounds, students from every class participated in Yavneh’s version of “The Price Is Right.” If students guessed the correct price and brachot of the item, they won that item as a class treat.
