Join Rinat Yisrael’s Social Action Committee for a night of inspiration with Ukrainian runner Valentyna Veretska.

Hear how Valentyna Veretska escaped Ukraine, won the Jerusalem Marathon with a borrowed pair of sneakers and now lives safely in New York—and is training for the upcoming Jerusalem Marathon. There will be a short screening of a film by Director Andres Useche featuring Veretska. The event marks the one year anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine. This is sure to be an inspiring evening.

The event, open to adults and children, will take place on Thursday February 23, at Congregation Rinat Yisrael’s social hall, 389 W. Englewood Ave in Teaneck. Donations can be made to Hatzalah of Ukraine.
