The Moriah pre-K has turned into a group of scientists, as they follow the journey of caterpillars on their way to their metamorphosis. The class began their study by reading books about caterpillars and butterflies. The students have been watching caterpillars being raised in the classroom at different stages of development. Every day they report their observations in journals. At the art center, the pre-K children painted butterflies, mimicking the perfect symmetry of an actual butterfly’s wings.
