Congratulations to flutist Sarah Silver, a freshman at Yeshivat Frisch, who was awarded the grand prize in the competitive 2023 International Music & Arts Competition on January 8. Sarah was accompanied on piano by her sister Emily Silver, eighth grader at Yavneh Academy.

Both sisters performed in Weil at Carnegie Hall on Sunday January 29.

Sarah has been studying flute for six years at the JCC’s Thurnauer School of Music and Emily has been studying piano for nine years at Thurnauer.
