Although it finally felt like winter at Gan Yavneh, the plants are beginning to bloom in Israel. On Monday, Gan Yavneh celebrated Tu B’Shevat! Students had a birthday party for the trees, complete with crowns, singing, cards thanking the trees for all they do and delicious cake. The classes planted beans in plastic bags so they can watch the roots grow down and the beans sprout up as they soak up the water and sunlight. They also made beautiful multi-sensory art projects all through the week. It was so much fun celebrating the birthday of the trees!
