A group of Frisch students spent this year working on engineering projects and presented their work to the entire Frisch community at the annual Science and Engineering Symposium. Projects that the students produced include a low-cost prosthetic arm that can be powered by a small device mounted to one’s eyeglasses, and a portable “Snoezelen,” a multi-sensory device designed to help individuals reduce agitation and anxiety.

Dr. Eric Banks, Senior Director of Data Sciences and Data Engineering at MIT and Harvard, was the keynote speaker at the event. Dr. Banks is a childhood friend of Rabbi Joshua Wald, Frisch’s associate principal. The Symposium showcased the students’ innovation, creativity and knowledge and is a testament to their teachers’ hard work and dedication throughout the year.
