(Courtesy of Yad Leah) In the month of January, the Yad Leah Volunteer Center in Passaic hosted many groups of volunteers including those from Congregation Shaarei Tefillah of Teaneck, Congregation Ahavat Shalom of Teaneck, the Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County, Temple Emeth and local families as part of the Winter Break Do Chesed Group. Participants in The Yad Leah Pack-for-Israel Experience rolled up their sleeves, sorted, folded and prepared boxes of gently used clothes for single moms, terror victims, new brides, lone soldiers, Ukrainian refugees, shemitah farmers and thousands of struggling families in Israel.
