In commemoration of the 24th yahrzeit of Rabbi Isaac L. Swift, zt”l, a memorial lecture will be delivered by Rabbi Dr. Jacob J. Schacter entitled “The Contemporary Theological Significance of the State of Israel: Reshit Tzemichat Geulatenu?” The lecture will be held at Congregation Ahavath Torah on June 16 beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Rabbi Dr. Schacter is University Professor of Jewish History and Jewish Thought and Senior Scholar at the Center for the Jewish Future at Yeshiva University. The event is free and open to the community.
