As part of its eighth grade leadership program, Bruriah’s junior high hosted its second Big Sister event for first grade students of the JEC’s Yeshiva of Elizabeth. The junior high students prepared a money-themed carnival as an enjoyable way for their younger counterparts to practice math and finance skills, which they have been studying this year. Financial Literacy is a goal in all three of the JEC’s divisions, and each year, thanks to JEC Board member, parent and PwC partner Brian Ness, PricewaterhouseCoopers hosts Financial Literacy workshops that inform and empower students to understand basic financial and money-management concepts.
