It is an SAR Academy tradition to invite local Jewish community leaders to speak to the middle school during the Sseret Yemei Teshuva. This week the SAR Academy middle school welcomed Rabbanit Atara Lindenbaum from the Hebrew Institute of White Plains, Rabbi Shmuel Hain from the Young Israel Ohab Zedek of North Riverdale/Yonkers, Rabbi Dovid Zirkind from The Riverdale Jewish Center, Rabba Sara Hurwitz from the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale, Rabbi Chaim Marder from the Hebrew Institute of White Plains, Rav Steven Exler from the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale, Rabbi Barry Dov Katz from the Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale, Rabbi Levi Shemtov from the Chabad Lubavitch of Riverdale, Rabbi Chaim Axelrod from the Young Israel of New Rochelle and Rabbi Shmuel Greenberg from the Young Israel of White Plains. SAR is always grateful to community leaders for taking the time to visit and share words of Torah and inspiration with students.
