TABC’s seniors enjoyed an inspiring three day Yarchei Kallah this past week. Appropriately scheduled for the Aseret Yemei Teshuva, the senior class disconnected from their day-to-day routines by traveling to a beautiful campus upstate to spend time connecting with each other, their rebbeim and Hashem. Prior to the trip, each senior chose a learning project he would complete with other classmates and rebbeim, ranging from Mishnayot Yoma to Rambam Hilchot Teshuva to Iggeret HaRamban. Each day, the talmidim spent time in the beit midrash learning their sefer, as well as hearing from inspiring speakers. They also enjoyed memorable experiences including a pre-Selichot kumzitz and a scenic hike as well as some quality recreational time together and with their rebbeim playing pickleball, basketball, football and golf.
The program concluded with siyumim on the seniors’ learning, as well as a siyum on Masechet Megillah by senior Eytan Kirschenbaum. Reflecting on the experience, one student commented that, “TABC managed to condense an entire month of camp programming, from learning and inspiration to fun and connection into just three days.” The success of the program was evident by the seniors who, on their own initiative, asked their rebbeim to continue their chaburahs they began over the retreat back in school.
