The pillars of Jewish life at Rutgers-New Brunswick—Rutgers Chabad, Rutgers Hillel, Rutgers Jewish Experience, and the AEPi fraternity—came together to sponsor an Emergency Rally for Israel: A Gathering of Prayer and Solidarity on Monday Oct. 9. A huge crowd of students, estimated at 300+ by one of the police officers present, gathered at the steps of Brower Commons to hear student speakers encourage support for Israel. One speaker gratefully acknowledged Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway, who was attending the rally. Members of the Highland Park Jewish community were also present in support of the gathering.
