Moriah’s early childhood students joined together today in a special initiative, to send feelings of friendship and support to some of Israel’s children. Students know that the Jewish community here feels close to the people of Eretz Yisrael and cares about them.

Taking the plush, outer shell of a stuffed animal, each child carefully placed the stuffing inside, preparing it to be sent to an Israeli child who will be happy to receive it—and so they’ll know that their friends in America are thinking of them and sending their warmest wishes. Each early childhood class stuffed 15 different animals. These sweet toys will be accompanied by letters of friendship written by Moriah’s lower school children. The Koby Mandell Foundation will be distributing the stuffed animals and letters to the children of victims who are being housed across 10 hotels throughout Israel. Moriah is very grateful to have taken part in such a meaningful mitzvah. Am Yisrael Chai!
